How Our Network Works for Homeowners
Who you talk to
You talk to an independent local provider in our network. Not a salesperson. Not a call script about upgrades.
The provider is a separate business. They do the work, set the price and stand behind their own job. Tabledoing Plumbing makes the introduction.
What happens on the call
Keep it simple. Say what happened. Say where the water or backup is. Say if you have already shut off a valve.
The provider may ask a few things:
- When did it start?
- Is the problem in one fixture or the whole house?
- Is water still running?
- Do you have a basement or crawl space that could be affected?
Then they tell you what they can do and when they might be able to come. Timing varies by provider. Do not expect a promise you have not heard.
What to ask an independent provider
Ask these before you agree to anything:
- What do you think is wrong, and how will you confirm it?
- What are my options, from small fix to full repair?
- Will you give me a written quote before work starts?
- What could change the price once you open things up?
- Do you hold the license that local rules require?
- Can you help document the damage if I file a claim?
Costs vary by job. A simple drain clearing often costs a few hundred dollars in typical U.S. pricing. A sewer repair can cost several thousand. Get the number in writing.
You are in control
You can say no. You can ask for another provider. You can ask for a quote and think it over.
Good providers explain the problem in plain words. If an explanation sounds vague, ask again. If the price jumps without a reason, pause the job.
One rule covers most of this. Ask before work.
Ready to talk to a provider?
Stop the water first if you can. Then reach out while the problem is still small. Request a callback to check provider availability.
Would you rather start with numbers? Request an estimate. No obligation.
